Every day, cats in our community are suffering — abandoned on roadsides, trapped in hoarding situations, or left behind to fend for themselves. At FUR of WNC, we believe every cat deserves love, safety, and a second chance.

We’re here to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the abused, abandoned, and neglected cats of Western North Carolina — but we can’t do it without you.

As a small, local nonprofit, we’re fueled almost entirely by donations from compassionate animal lovers like you. With an annual operating budget of just $200,000, every dollar goes directly toward:

  • Emergency medical care for injured or sick cats
  • Daily food, shelter, and supplies
  • Spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations
  • Adoption outreach and foster support
  • Support of community cat colonies
