Companionship for You; a Furever Home for Them
Do you know someone who has gained the wisdom and knowledge that come with six or more decades on this earth? Someone who can provide a loving home and a second chance for a cat that, through no fault of their own, has been abandoned or left without a plan of care? Someone that can do all this, but does not have the financial means to do so? Well, in exchange for providing this loving care for a senior cat, FUR will pick up the full tab for his or her care. As opposed to fostering, which is a temporary situation, with this program the arrangement is a permanent one.
Below are our senior kitties who are craving a furever home with their purrfect person. To meet one of these sweeties, just make an appointment and note that you are interested in them for FUR’s Seniors for Seniors program.
EINSTEIN (Senior Male)

This name carries weight…. it must have meant something to his owner to give him such a title. Sadly she passed away some months ago, leaving Einstein to come to FUR.
He is a sweet guy, but is not a fan of other cats. So any foster home needs to be wary … still there are many many cats at FUR and we have a feeling that Einstein would not really mind one or two other roommates.
ROXI (Senior Female)

Roxi has a history with us. She was brought into FUR in 2014 from Haywood County Animal Services. After spending 5 years with us, she was adopted in 2019. Unfortunately she was returned to us this past March 2023 because, among other reasons, her owner could not afford the veterinary care that she needed to remove a cancerous growth on her nose.
She is now recovered and healthy and in need of her second, well, third, chance at a loving home.
